Commercial vehicles' Aug sales up 37%

Exports for the month grew by 68.60 per cent and stood at 349 units compared to 207 units last year. Sales of light commercial vehicles in the Indian market during the month also went up by 34.41 per cent to 1,609 units, against 1,197 units in August, 2008. Heavy commercial vehicle sales also recorded a jump of 6.77 per cent at 158 units against 148 units in August last year, it added.
