Write a ReviewI bought this for a dedicated light-controlled home theater. I am using a 145" 16:9 screen in a 19' Deep, 16 ' Wide room. Primary seating is only 11'6" from the screen. The lens I chose is nearly at its limits for the screen, but the projector is in the room, not in a box in a hallway or closet. With this projector set at 60% light output, I am able to have my side sconce lights on as well as Toe Lights and have a near perfect theater like experience. Guests can get up and exit the room and be able to see to exit. In any of the 4 modes I use and with any source, the projector is extremely quiet. This is surprising, given its size and light output. I did have someone else professionally calibrate under Vivid and Dynamic modes, so this review does not cover all the technical stuff. I can say that I am using the Dynamic Tone Mapping, and the picture quality is excellent. Things to be aware of: It's big and heavy for a consumer model projector but I could also mention it's light and small versus practically all other projectors capable of displaying with this massive light output. I am very pleased with the viewing results. My sources include a Kaleidescape System, my Oppo Blu-Ray player and a Fire Cube. So far, everything looks great, and the brightness is a big step up from my 6050. I initially set it up and got it focused, and it was easy to correctly set the projected image to fit the screen. The remote does its job fine and coming from a previous Epson, it's pretty much the same set-up.
