Experience the future of luxury home cinema at CEDIA 2025 with Barco Residential
Kortrijk, Belgium, 4 September 2025 – Barco Residential, a global leader in the high-end residential market, will introduce Runar and TruePix Bifrost TP-I, two new groundbreaking LED walls for luxury home cinema at CEDIA 2025, taking place September 4 through 6 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado, USA. Barco Runar is the first LED wall designed for DCI-certified HDR performance in the residential market, while TruePix Bifrost TP-I delivers exceptional brightness and energy efficiency for high-ambient-light spaces. In addition, Barco Residential will showcase its most advanced projector platform Heimdall offering ultra-quiet, RGB laser-powered projection for an immersive cinematic experience.
Introducing Runar: The pinnacle of DCI-certified LED video wall for the residential
market
For the first time ever, Barco Residential presents Runar, an LED wall designed exclusively
for luxury home cinema and scheduled for DCI (Digital Cinema Initiatives) certification
under the latest HDR (High Dynamic Range) standards - the highest bar today for cinema
LED. With a 0.9mm pixel pitch and native DCI 4K resolution (4,096 x 2,160), Runar brings
uncompromising cinematic quality into the home.
More than a display, Barco Runar is a statement of presence. Behind minimalist design is extraordinary power, inspired by the quiet strength and elemental purity of the Nordic heritage that inspired it. Barco Runar combines precision and elegance with technical prowess to create an immersive experience that commands attention without ever raising its voice.
Barco Runar features state-of-the-art Micro LED in Package (MIP) technology and is engineered for future-proof compliance with premium DCI-HDR content. It delivers breathtaking contrast and color precision, with 100,000:1 contrast, ultra-deep 0.005 cd/m2 black level, and full DCI-P3 coverage. Engineered for exceptional HDR performance, Runar brings DCI-grade HDR at 300 nits and consumer HDR at 500 nits to life with remarkable accuracy, while also handling standard content effortlessly. Imagine experiencing both DCI-HDR and consumer HDR content on a single LED video wall, seamlessly integrated for your luxury home cinema. Barco Residential makes this a reality.
Barco Runar is scheduled to ship in mid-2026. This CEDIA demo will also showcase the award-winning Model S soundbar from Steinway Lyngdorf.
TruePix Bifrost TP-I: Brilliance Meets Efficiency
Barco Residential will also show the new TruePix Bifrost DV-LED wall, TP0.9-I. This
remarkable residential design benefits from unique Flip Chip technology, making it more
robust, more energy efficient and further improving the black levels for spectacular
contrast.
TruePix Bifrost TP0.9-I is the perfect DV-LED solution for brighter rooms and applications with higher ambient light. It offers 0.9 mm pixel pitch for high resolution and more than 1,800 nit brightness (and in peak brightness over 2,300 nit) which further enhances the contrast and detail of the displayed content. This also contributes to the more dramatic display of HDR content. Power consumption is minimized and energy efficiency is doubled.
As with all of Barco Residential’s DV-LED products, TP-I includes its exceptional White Glove Service install, assuring outstanding results in every video wall.
This demo will also feature a new speaker frame from Leon. In addition to enhancing the esthetic appeal, this frame is designed to offer state-of-the-art sound.
Immersive theater experience: Heimdall+ Cinemascope
In the theater at CEDIA, Barco Residential will showcase the Heimdall+ Cinemascope, the
quietest and most advanced projector platform to date in its projector portfolio. Featuring
the Cinemascope aspect ratio and cutting-edge Barco RGB laser technology, the
Heimdall+ Cinemascope delivers exceptional image fidelity with 100% DCI-P3 and 98%
REC 2020 color coverage at a full brightness of 6,000 ANSI lumens. Despite its power,
Heimdall+ Cinemascope operates at an ultra-quiet 29dB, making it ideal for in-room
installations.
This CEDIA demo pairs Heimdall+ Cinemascope with a reference 174” diagonal Stewart Cinemascope screen and a Meridian speaker system.
Barco Residential will use Kaleidescape source content and MadVR processing for all demos at CEDIA 2025.
