On this week's podcast, Michael Hamilton joins us from St. Petersburg, FL, where he is south manager and a technical writer for AVPro Global. With headquarters in South Dakota, the AVPro Global brand includes AVPro Edge, AudioControl, Bullet Train, RTI, Murideo, ThenAudio, and ProControl. But it is at the company's South Headquarters in Florida where Michael co-led the latest edition of the Imaging Science Foundation's TV and projector calibration training workshop with his AVPro colleague Loel Wheeler and madVR's Jason Dustal.

On the podcast, Michael shares details about the current version of the ISF workshop, its history with Joe Kane and Joel Silver, as well as his career path from semi-pro hockey to AV retail to professional calibration in Hollywood, and how AVPro became the new permanent home for ISF training, after many years as a road show.

ISF is a living, breathing organization made up of professionals around the globe striving for video perfection from the movie set to the new HDR equipped display in a customer's home theater. Since its inception, the ISF has been evolving to serve the needs of professionals in this ever changing marketplace. Its workshop offers hands-on training in HDR-10, Dolby Vision, and HLG video calibration on today's latest display technologies, including flat panels and projectors.
