InfoComm 2025 in Orlando, FL was the launch pad for several new projectors and projector screens for the multi-purpose/conference room, house of worship, large venue/auditorium, and home cinema markets. Epson America's Chris Teguh explains how Epson's commercial projectors can be used to transform classrooms, training facilities, and museums into high-resolution, immersive, themed environments as well as how the company is partnering with Bloomington, IN-based Blockhouse Studios to combine projection mapping imagery with body tracking and Epson's Powerlite L Series projectors. Epson's newest 3-chip 3LCD PowerLite L-Series laser projectors are now available and are compatible with Apple AirPlay. This enhancement addresses the growing demand for effortless content streaming on large, vibrant displays in education and corporate settings, allowing users to share videos, photos, music, and more from Apple devices directly to their projector.

At the Screen Innovations booth, Britton Busby showed off the new Black Diamond Fusion ALR projector screen, which was developed from scratch to eliminate every flaw that is present on all previous ALR screens. The company worked to eliminate the Achille's heels of ALR screens, such as a narrow viewing cone; texture, sparkle or hot spots; and demands for too much light. Designed from scratch, Fusion ALR was built from scratch to achieve vivid whites and deep blacks simultaneously, a 160-degree viewing cone with zero texture or hot spot, zero laser speckle, and no glare attributes, with 1.0 gain ALR material for up to 130" images at 16:9.

ViewSonic's Jeff Muto provided an overview of the ViewSonic LX60HD projector, which combines integrated smart streaming (Google TV built in and a native Netflix app) with set-up features such as auto-focus, auto H/V keystone, and an auto screen fit for quick and ideal image alignment. The LX60HD delivers native 1080p Full HD resolution and can project up to 140 inches. It comes with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for simple and easy device connection and wireless audio streaming. The projector comes with USB-A 2.0 and HDMI/HDCP 1.4 connectivity options.

FujiFilm's Mike Northrup informed us that the long-awaited ZUH6000 projector will begin shipping this summer, offering another versatile video solution for immersive experiences. It boasts color uniformity across multiple projectors for more seamless image blending and simplifying installation for multi-projector configurations. The ZUH6000 features Fujifilm's exclusive Z-Type Ultra Short Throw Lens, offering installation flexibility while delivering 4K resolution. Like other projectors in the Z-Series, the ZUH6000 can be discreetly mounted with only the lens visible, blending more seamlessly into the environment.

Hisense's Mark Major provided a booth tour of his brand's diverse offerings at InfoComm, including the L9Q 4K UST that offers an expanded array of screen sizes, ranging from 100-200", and simplified setup made possible by auto screen alignment and manual keystone correction tools. The L9Q's triple-laser technology allows it reach up to 5,000 lumens and promises 110% of the BT.2020 color space for color accuracy and vibrancy. Major also highlighted the brand-new M2 Pro triple laser portable smart mini projector, which offers automatic correction for focus, keystone, screen fit, and obstacle avoidance. With 4K UHD resolution and 1300 ANSI lumens (110% BT2020 color space), its image can be projected from 65- to 200-inch screens and boasts a 240 Hz refresh rate for low-latency gaming. Staying within the lifestyle category, Major described the C2 Ultra 3000 Lumen 4K laser DLP, which is also portable, but with higher brightness. The biggest surprise at the Hisense booth was a preview of the company's first commercial market-laser projector. With 7500 lumens of brightness, 4K resolution, and two lens options, the P75 is a single-laser model targeted for release in Q4 of 2025.

Distributor TEG's Frank Anzures and Tom Schwartz provided insights into projector brands Roly and Appotronics, both of which are sold in North America exclusively by TEG. Taiwan-based Roly projectors feature 4K, 3LCD laser projection, and optimum color performance, including UST Series short-throw options from 4000-5000 lumens, E Series high-brightness, multi-functional laser projectors, and M Series 8500- and 10,000-lumen fixed installation projectors for large venues. For Appotronics, Schwartz explained how the brand has earned the reputation as one of the world experts in laser phosphor light source designs with its ALPD (Advance Laser Phosphor Display). Having "soft launched" their line of new DLP projectors last year at InfoComm, this year TEG displayed the now-shipping models, including the 4K- or 2K resolution SPro-Series full-spectrum laser, large venue models, which range in brightness from 16,000-20,000 lumens.

Digital Projection's George Walter offered an overview how the TITAN Luma 35000 4K-UHD was designed in a chassis that's 35% smaller and weighs just 125 pounds than its predecessor. The reduced size and weight make Luma projectors ideal for integration in commercial environments such as corporate lobbies, auditoriums, retail spaces, and entertainment venues, where ceiling loads, ventilation, and aesthetic considerations often dictate AV decisions. Despite the smaller footprint, the 35,000 4K-UHD model outputs 31,500 ANSI lumens, with a 1600:1 contrast ratio and Rec.709 color accuracy. This next-generation platform not only simplifies installation and upgrade paths—thanks to compatibility with existing TITAN lenses—but also ensures long-term value with the durability and reliability integrators expect from Digital Projection.

There were two stops at the Sharp booth, led by Ryan Pitterle and Rich McPherson. Pitterle provided highlights of the P Series, which includes the XP-P721Q-W 7200-lumen 4K projector featuring a filter-free, laser-based design that offers up to 20,000 hours of operation. It includes a fixed lens with motorized lens shift, a broad zoom range, tilt-free and roll-free capabilities, and HDBaseT connectivity. McPherson detailed the brand-new XP-A175U 3LCD WUXGA-resolution projector with a filter-free design with lower fan noise for smaller corporate spaces and classrooms and the XP-X171Q single-chip DLP with 4K resolution, which was introduced at InfoComm 2024. The 13,500-lumen projector features a blue+red laser phosphor engine that provides higher brightness and deeper, more saturated reds than typically possible with a traditional single blue laser phosphor architecture. It utilizes a 0.8-inch, native 1920x1200 WXGA DLP chip and pixel shifting to achieve a maximum resolution of 3840x2402, essentially 4K UHD with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The projector boasts Texas Instrument's BrilliantColor tech for improved color accuracy, and a rated 10,000:1 native or 3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.

Howard Rose at the Panasonic Projector & Display Americas (PPNDA) booth talked about the company's spin off sub-brand called MEVIX, which is focused more on themed entertainment and high-end projection and previewed the new engineering sample of the PT-RQ45K 40,000-lumen 4K 3-chip DLP projector, which will serve as an upgrade from the brand's PT-RQ35K 30,000-lumen 4K model. The projector, which is scheduled to ship by June 2026, comes in the same chassis size and uses the same rigging frame and lenses. On the inside, however, it's a completely new design and it's more modular for maintenance. At the second stop in the Panasonic/MEVIX booth, we talked with Yann Sablayrolles about the company's new all-in-one media presentation cart (PT-VMZ-AVCART) for education spaces that is a partnership with Artome.
