Datamine, through Vela Industries Group, has acquired Scenario, a leader in project delivery and control software for various industries, including mining, with its Enterprise SaaS platform.

Scenario, according to Datamine, is used on large, complex projects in the resource, infrastructure, construction, energy and real estate development sectors in Australia, Asia and the Middle East.

John Bailey, COO of Vela Industries Group, said, “The acquisition of Scenario is a complementary addition to Datamine’s software portfolio. With increasing cost pressure on owners and contractors to deliver large-scale mining projects on time and on schedule, Scenario will enable our clients to manage, collaborate and report on the progress of a portfolio of projects real-time mining.

Sarah Smith, CEO of Scenario, added, “We are delighted and proud to join the Vela Industries group and work alongside other leading software organizations operating within our client industries. This acquisition is an important next step in our continued growth journey, further expanding our international presence through Vela’s network.
