The BJP has criticized Maha Vikas Aghadi’s partners for cornering the Shinde Fadnavis government over the loss of the Vedanta Foxconn project in Gujarat. BJP Head of State Chandrashekhar Bawankule has demanded an apology from MVA leaders for misleading people on the issue as no land was shown to the company and no deal was reached. signed with her.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said: ”The company concerned was not shown from the project site by the government of Maha Vikas Aghadi. Moreover, not a single cabinet meeting took place. After our government arrived, we showed them the required site. After realizing that the project was going to Gujarat, we held a cabinet meeting and told them that the government is providing more facilities than Gujarat. We also showed the company the package approved by the state cabinet.” He reiterated that nothing had happened under the MVA government regarding the Vedanta Foxconn project.

In addition, Bawankule criticized former minister and Yuva Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray for Jan Aakrosh’s agitation held on September 24 against the state government over Vedanta Foxconn issue. He claimed that the MVA leaders should stop making false allegations and warned that the BJP would stage protests wherever the MVA staged an unrest.

”According to the letter from Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation, no MoU has been signed between the state government and Vedanta-Foxconn. There was no land allocation. In this context, MVA’s allegation that the project lost to Gujarat was false,’ Bawankule said.

Meanwhile, BJP workers in Maval staged a commotion accusing the MVA government of doing nothing for the development of the Vedanta Foxconn project in Maharashtra.
