Jetbuilt has added technical data fields to its project builder sales and management software.
These fields provide important product data, including rack units, wattage, BTUs, and item dimensions. Using technical data fields provides a clear view of information that will help ensure that a project is properly designed and that components, such as rack space, power, heat ventilation, and weight capacity are included.
“Introducing technical data fields will save time, money and aggravation as the project progresses to the installation stage,” noted Tom Peters, Director of Jetbuilt’s business development. “By understanding the rack space required for a particular installation, especially for a small space like a credenza, you can ensure that the right size credenza is ordered. Plus, you can notify the HVAC contractor that there will be 1000 BTUs in a closet to ventilate and easily view the total weight of a speaker system or video wall included in the project, to verify by relative to the building structure. Basically, the Jetbuilt builder’s technical data will provide a clear view of what is needed to fit the system being installed.
Technical Data Fields are the latest feature to support platform engineering efforts and partner with Jetbuilt’s Technical Cleansing feature launched earlier this year, which allows companies to enforce a review technique as part of the workflow. Scrub ensures that every item is technically approved before the project moves to the next stage. By having key technical data at your fingertips and self-calculated, this process will also be streamlined.
Jetbuilt will showcase technical data fields at CEDIA Expo 2022, while highlighting engineering scrub and JEL, the Jetbuilt Engineering Lab. Also launching this year, JEL offers the ability to order CAD drawings, REVIT drawings, 3D renderings and pre-sales engineering as needed, all within Jetbuilt’s integrated workflow.
