Saskatoon company finds market for construction project management software in New York

A local Saskatoon startup recently secured $5.6 million by expanding its business into the United States

MyComply offers a free platform for storing and managing construction training certificates.

“We understood some of the issues with construction and information transfer in our role as property developers and that’s really the impetus for MyComply,” said Mark Wolff, CEO.

The company was founded in 2015, but it only started making money in 2020. It tried to start in Canada, but encountered difficulties. They ended up crossing the border and selling MyComply in New York.

“Since then, we’ve started building our business more and more in New York and finding local talent there,” said Greg Reimche, COO.

MyComply is used by general contractors and construction companies. They will use the platform to obtain labor data on construction sites, including time sheets, attendance records, document exchange and training verification.

“In reality what we do is provide a general contractor oversight of all sub-contractors that are on their site and all of their workers and their safety training certification, so they know whoever is on their job site is supposed to be there and has the right training and can be safe,” Reimche said.

MyComply helps over 6,000 entrepreneurs. It helps reduce costs and incidents, while maximizing insurance savings.

“Business is kind of our passion here and so we like to build things and we felt we needed in this industry a platform like this,” Reimche said.

MyComply plans to continue to expand its market in the United States and Canada.

“It’s really about working with the team to listen to our customers, continue to develop products that meet their needs, and go out and find more customers,” Wolff said.
