ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Information Technologies and Telecommunications will soon launch the “Smartphone for all” project aimed at providing 3G / 4G phones with a maximum value of Rs 8,000 to Rs 12,000 facilitating access to the digital world.
This is what Federal IT Minister Syed Aminul Haque said after the inauguration of the Software Technology Park (STP) at Hazara University, Mansehra. The Ministry of Informatics and Telecommunications (MoITT) established the STP at Hazara University in Mansehra.

Vice-Chancellor Dr Jamil Ahmed, Director General Ignite Asim Shehryar, International Coordination Member Ajmal Awan, a large number of dignitaries and students also attended the inauguration ceremony.
In collaboration with Hazara University, the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), an organization of MoITT set up this STP for which a large space of 12,000 square feet was allocated in the university. The technology park will provide all facilities to IT companies, so that they can secure the acquisition of valuable foreign currency for the country by providing IT products and technical services to companies around the world without any hindrance.
Addressing the occasion, Haque said that in addition to the technology park, a National Incubation Center (NIC) would soon be set up at Hazara University under the tutelage of the Ministry of Informatics. He said the bright future of young people depends on their adaptation to digital technology.
“In this regard, our job is to provide you with facilities and your job is to take advantage of it,” he added. Haque has occasionally announced that the Ministry of Informatics will soon launch the Smartphone for All project because we want to see a last 3G / 4G phone but not worth more than Rs 8,000 to 12,000 in the hands of 220 million people so that they can access the digital world.
The Federal Minister of Informatics also said preparations are underway for the launch of 5G technology by December 2022, as well as projects worth Rs 31 billion for the provision of connectivity and Broadband internet in unserved and underserved areas will be completed. soon. He ensured a joint meeting of the PTA, cellular operators and USF to resolve connectivity issues in Mansehra.
Syed Aminul Haq said that as American and European style, we will launch 911 emergency services across the country under which ambulance, police assistance, fire department, gas, Electricity and other rescue / emergency services will be possible by simply dialing nine, one, one, (911). Azam Khan Swati said that information technology is the future of the country’s economic stability.
The plans of the Ministry of Informatics to provide connectivity and the Internet in remote areas of the country are commendable. Swati added that the Federal Minister of Informatics provided connectivity and software technology to our region.
